Team Crush fundraising for The Royal Blind Charity

6th June 2011

In March we announced that four exceptionally brave members of our team will run the Dunfermline Half Marathon , part of Run Dunfermline Race Weekend 2011 taking place in June. Due to being petrified holiday plans, one member has pulled out leaving Teo, Andy and Grant to carry Team Crush’s name to glory.

After careful deliberation Team Crush has decided to run the race as a fundraiser on behalf of a local charity that is dear to our hearts. Drumroll please… This year, Crush will be running for the Royal Blind. A fabulous charity that we have a very close relationship with and support wholeheartedly their belief that every child should have the opportunity to achieve their potential and have a brighter future.

The charity has done tremendous work over the years, from helping build a future for Scotland’s war blinded to a school for the blind that aims to empower young people to become confident and successful individuals. Team Crush aims to raise £300, however we are secretly aiming much higher and believe that your kind donations will make this wish come true.

Team Crush are no athletes; the mere mention of a marathon brings some of the team (Grant and Andy) out in a cold sweat. However we believe all three team members will complete the race in a reasonable time. The marathon is 13 miles (21km) and has a 3 hour completion time, but the proud runners aim to finish in a much shorter period of time.

Please follow our twitter updates to see #TeamCrush efforts as they near the race and our  Just Giving page for fundraising updates and to donate. If not for the team progress, definitely for the entertainment value.

Please show your support by donating generously to our cause.

GO TEAM CRUSH.
