Why they came to us

Calling all teachers who want to become head teachers!

The Convention of Scottish Local Authorities (COSLA) is the representative voice of Scottish local government and acts as the employers' association on behalf of all Scottish councils. Their Flexible Routes to Headship (FRH) program is a leadership development opportunity for aspiring head teachers looking to work towards their dream role.

With no online presence, COSLA wanted a website built that would clearly show what the program could offer teachers, would drive registrations, and would be the central focal point to all communication for teachers and their individual coaches once they had signed up and committed to the program.

What we did for them

Working with a 3rd party design team Crush consulted and built a website that was managed through a simple content management system

specific to the needs of COSLA.

A forum was introduced so COSLA, teachers and coaches could discuss the program and issues affecting the decision to become a head teacher. Since it was introduced this tool has become a definitive and essential part of planning and designing the future updates to the program and is seen by many as being the most valuable part of the initial project.

How the case continued

After the initial beta launch phase, Crush worked closely with COSLA to improve site usability through regular user testing sessions, updates and the introduction of improved technologies along with a phase two build plan.
